Rootformula is a cultural platform and creative practice working across cultural intelligence, research, contemporary art, sound, design, storytelling, creative direction and cultural production. ABOUT
Rootformula is a cultural platform and creative practice co-directed by Dr. Emalohi Iruobe and Adey Omotade. Working across cultural intelligence, research, contemporary art, sound, design, storytelling, creative direction and cultural production, Rootformula develops ideas and experiences that respond to the cultural realities of the present.
The platform brings together artists, researchers, musicians, designers, cultural practitioners and organisations through projects, collaborations, residencies, exhibitions, lectures, sound programmes and public knowledge exchange.
Rootformula is interested in the relationship between culture and contemporary life — how ideas travel, how communities form, how cultural knowledge is carried forward and how creative practices can generate new ways of seeing, listening and engaging.
Its work spans artistic production, cultural research, creative strategy, sound, visual culture, community building and interdisciplinary experimentation.
